The current TeraStat architecture includes ten nodes. Two of these are used for login purposes, while the remaining ones are organized as two groups and used for the computing activities.

The first group of nodes (n3-n6) has the following characteristics:

  • 4  AMD Opteron 8-Core 6272 2,1Ghz, for an overall number of 32 cores
  • 64 Gigabytes of RAM (2 Gigabyte per core)
  • 2 500 GB RAID SATA disks
  • 1 InfiniBand QDR 40 Gb/s network adapter

The second group of nodes (n7-n10) has the following characteristics:

  • 4  Intel Xeon 8-Core E5-2630v3 2,4Ghz,, for an overall number of 16 cores
  • 64 Gigabytes of RAM (2 Gigabyte per core)
  • 2 500 GB RAID SATA disks
  • 1 InfiniBand QDR 40 Gb/s network adapter

TeraStat data are stored on a dedicated storage server

  • Server Supermicro X8DT3
  • 2  Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU X5570 processors
  • 24 GB of RAM
  • 16 4TB disks and 8 1TB disks for a total size of  72 TB

Network connection between the different nodes of the cluster is done through an infiniband Mellanox IS 5023 switch
