The Department has implemented a structured and formalized Quality Assurance system, in compliance with University guidelines and ANVUR directives.
The system provides for the continuous monitoring of the actions undertaken by the Department in relation to what has been planned, with a view to continuous improvement.
The Quality Assurance system is overseen by the Quality Analysis Committee.
The Quality Analysis Committee is responsible for activities related to quality assurance in the areas of teaching, research, and the Department’s Third Mission. It is composed of faculty members selected from full and associate professors and researchers, the Head of the Department, the Departmental Teaching Coordinator, the Departmental Research Coordinator, and student representatives.

With regard to Quality Assurance processes, the Committee performs the following tasks:

proposes the Department’s Three-Year Strategic Plan, defining the objectives in research, teaching, and Third Mission/Social Impact, identifying the actions required to achieve them and the related resources;

contributes to the definition of the Department’s strategy by aligning University-level objectives with the Department’s specific scientific, educational, and cultural missions;

periodically monitors activities and verifies the degree of achievement of objectives, preparing an annual Monitoring Report.
