Studying at Statistical Sciences
Have you ever heard the terms Data Analyst, Actuary, Data Scientist, Demographer? In most cases, they likely refer to our graduates.
Our Department offers a wide and diversified educational offering, structured into 3 Bachelor’s degree programmes, 3 Master’s degree programmes, 1 interdepartmental Master’s degree programme, 1 PhD programme, and 2 second-level Master’s programmes.
Our Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes combine a solid foundation in mathematics and statistics with the opportunity to deepen knowledge in several disciplines, as required for the preparation of the wide range of professional profiles we train.
Alright, but do graduates actually find employment?
Consistently with our educational approach, we let the numbers speak for themselves.
95% of our graduates are employed within 3 years after graduation. 93% of students report being satisfied with their choice.
It is also estimated that degree programmes in statistical sciences are among those with the highest average annual demand for graduates in Italy up to 2022.
The history of the world and supercomputers
What do a 16th-century economics text and a supercomputer have in common? The answer: both are located within our Department. The need to honour and preserve the knowledge and wisdom inherited from the past, together with the necessity of keeping pace with the challenges of modernity—if not anticipating them—drives us to innovate, but with wisdom. On the traditional wooden benches of our corridors, students use Sapienza’s wireless service to stream lecture recordings delivered by our faculty members.
You may be convinced—how can I learn more?
The staff at the SOrT desk (Student Orientation and Tutoring Service) I3S are available for questions and clarifications.
Contact them at the phone number 0649910553 or visit the SOrT I3S Office at Piazzale Aldo Moro, 5 – CU002 Building, ground floor (Sapienza University Campus).
