Il Dipartimento di Scienze Statistiche è lieto di annunciare il prossimo incontro dei DSS Lunch Seminar.   Il titolo dell'intervento è The ESG Score and the financial statement: the European case, a cura della professoressa Rita Laura D’Ecclesia.   L'evento si terrà venerdì 8 settembre alle ore 12:30 presso l'Aula V, sita al piano IV del Dipartimento di Scienze Statistiche, edificio CU002 in Città Universitaria, Piazzale Aldo Moro 5, Roma.     A proposito dei lunch seminar I DSS Lunch Seminar nascono dall’idea dei ricercatori e delle ricercatrici del Dipartimento di Scienze Statistiche di creare un luogo aperto ed inclusivo di incontro, confronto e accrescimento sui diversi temi di ricerca di interesse del dipartimento. In un clima di informale convivialità ci si aprirà al dibattito mostrando i risultati delle proprie ricerche e discutendone con l’obiettivo di scoprire ed interagire su temi nuovi e stimolanti tra persone con diversa estrazione accademica ed interessi.   Grazie alla ciclicità della programmazione, un venerdì ogni mese, i DSS Lunch Seminar si pongono l’obiettivo di diventare un appuntamento fisso per alimentare nuovi interessi di ricerca e nuove collaborazioni. Voi portate il pranzo, noi vi offriamo da bere!     The ESG Score and the financial statement: the European case a cura di Rita Laura D’Ecclesia Regulators' requirements and government policies in terms of sustainability are affecting the investment environment and the challenges and opportunities companies face. ESG issues play a central role in the foundation of business strategies. In this talk, we want to analyze the role played by ESG ratings in the performance of European-listed companies. We use data on ESG ratings and corporate balance sheet information for the European companies constituent the various stock indices. We use Machine Learning to account for non-linear relationships and identify, for each country, the main drivers of the ESG score, providing insights for sustainable investment selections.     Per informazioni: g.grani@uniroma1.it
