The AIGreet Project

Context

The AIGreet industrial research project focuses on promoting renewable energy and acquiring international leadership in the main industries of ecological transition as part of the United Nations' 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in Italy. It recognizes the strategic interest of the rapidly growing African continent and its increasing energy demands. However, challenges arise from the fragmentation of funding and subsidies from local governments and institutions, posing obstacles for Italian companies seeking to invest in the African green energy market.

Project Goals

In collaboration with Andersen Italia and Internationalia, the AIGreet industrial research project aims to develop an advanced artificial intelligence system capable of analyzing diverse sources of data. This system will identify funding opportunities, countries, and institutions involved in green energy projects, and track the progress of those projects. The gathered information will be made accessible to Italian companies seeking to participate in international tenders, identify potential partners, or contribute to ongoing projects. Ultimately, the project aims to drive ecological transition and foster internationalization. It involves developing algorithms using cutting-edge technologies such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, and natural language processing. Additionally, web crawling and scraping techniques will be utilized to automatically acquire relevant data, while supercomputing tools will process the vast amounts of information involved.

The AIGreet project is primarily developed by Dr. Giorgio Grani under the scientific supervision of Prof. Umberto Ferraro Petrillo.
