Abstract:
In this paper the experience rating in automobile insurance is discussed and the difference between the Bayesian and the Bonus-Malus system approach is then investigated. A suggestion in order to define a Bonus-Malus system that shares some desirable properties with the Bayesian approach is finally proposed.
