The sheer number of ways in which information about the real-world can be represented and misrepresented by humans, makes data quality a major concern. The seminar aims at illustrating my recent research activity in this field and related notions. In particular, the seminar will address two main strategies towards data quality. In the first part, I will discuss how to enforce quality by integration and cleaning of raw data. In the second part, I will discuss how to assess quality of the resulting data artifacts. All the subjects addressed during the seminar will be investigated under both practical and methodological perspectives.
